Before to get the theater, we pop in a pub near by to have a pint.
Then through the park, we arrived the theatre!
Last year, I went to see an Opera at the Holland Park's Open-air theatre but Regent's Park's is more like in a wood, with lots of trees around.
We enjoyed some yummy cakes during the break.
But to be honest, it was super hard to understand the language.. On a way home, we all talked about it. All of us lived here more than 10 years but still we all found it super difficult.
I felt so relief when my Irish friend said, "I didn't understand much!"
So you see? Shakespeare is difficult for the native speaker, too.
Any way, we all enjoyed the atmosphere and also the experience so it was good night out!
ロンドンで文化的なことをたっぷり楽しんでいる今日この頃ですが、先日はシェークスピアの演劇を鑑賞しにRegent's parkの中にあるオープンエアーシアターに行ってきました。
私たちが鑑賞した演目は「Twelfth Night」
まずはRegent's park近くのパブで一杯。w
それからRegent's parkの中を通ってシアターへ。
以前、Holland parkの中にあるオープンシアターに行った事があるのですが、そこよりもRegent's parkのオープンエアーシアターは森の中にいる様な不思議な空間になっていました。
休憩にはケーキとワイン！
肝心の演劇ですが、大体のストーリーは分かるものの、英語がとても難しくて細かいところまでは理解しきれませんでした。。。
でも！言い訳ではないですが、観に行った全員がイギリス生活１０年のメンバーにも関わらず、全員が内容をちゃんと理解出来ないほどシェークスピアの英語は難しいのです。
英語が母国語のアイルランド人の友人まで「内容が良くわからなかった。。言葉が難しい。。」と言っていたほど。
でも普段では味わえない経験を楽しめて全員で大満足でした。
それにしても、晴れて暖かい日で良かったです。w
