Parties!!!

さて、お久しぶりのブログです。

最近は時間を見てはオープニングやら、
展示会やらに足を運ばせてもらっています。
芸術の秋ですな。。全く。
東京はいろんなイベントが多くて、
友人なんかは毎晩はしごのようです。w

１０月１７日はdigmeoutを通して仲良くなった、
作家のSachicafeちゃんの展示オープニングに行ってきました〜。
相変わらず精力的な彼女。
あったかムードのお店でSachicafe色満点の作品達が展示されていました。

これがSachicafeちゃんの愛犬。超可愛い♥

先週末はひょんな事からキャットウォークショーを観に行って、

以前知り合いの方からお話を聞いていたKellie Millerの展示へ。
こちらがKellie。

アーティストであり、陶芸家でもある彼女の一点ものの器たちが麹町カフェ＆factoryにて11月13日まで展示されています。
いや〜、可愛い器達の勢揃いな事！！

しかも麹町カフェ＆factoryとのコラボという事で、両方の店舗で展示が見られ、展示期間中は麹町カフェではKellie特別メニューが頂けるとの事！
これは行かなくっちゃでしょう？
オープニングで出されたケータリングも見て美しい。食べて美味しい♪
と最高でした。

It's been a while since I wrote my last diary.
So this time, it's about parties!!!
lately there are lots of art fairs and exhibitions are going on in Tokyo.
It's fun and nice to meet new people.

In the middle of this month, there was my friend's exhibition opening in Harajyuku.
I met her though digmeout and as she lives in Tokyo, since I moved here, we manage to meet often. She had a show in a cool shop and there were lots of her friends.
Was very nice.
And here her lovely pappy!!

Last weekend, I was in a fashion show.. not me doing the catwalk, of course but was so nice to see a cool show and some of the fashion people?!
Then after the show, I went to see the Kellie Miller's exhibition opening at a cafe called Factory. It was a sweet exhibition opening! Beautiful work and lovely nibbles! (oops! about food again!!)
The exhibition will be held at Kojimachi cafe and Factory.
Apparently, during the show time, there was a special Kellie meal at the Kojimachi cafe.

ご報告!/Announcement!

さて、お仕事上とても大切な御知らせがあります。

実はこのたび、ニューヨークのアートエージェンシー、JED ROOTと専属契約を交わしました！
これからは今まで以上に幅広い事を出来るのではないかと、ドキドキしています♪

現在、私のオフィシャルウェブサイトの「contact」の部分では、まだ以前のエージェントであった「pocko people」のままなのですが、これからは「JED ROOT」となりますので、宜しくお願い致します。

また、JED ROOTと専属契約を結ぶにあたり、長くに渡りお世話になったdigmeoutのウェブサイトからも、私の作品等は１０月末を持って外される事になりました。涙

Hello, today, I have a big announcement.
I have just made a contract between an Art agent called JED ROOT, based in NYC.
JED ROOT is going to represent me for worldwide!

On my official website, there are still my previous agent, pocko people's detail on the contact page but it'll be JED ROOT.

Also my page on digmeout's website will be removed by the end of this month.
My own news and artwork will be shown on JED ROOT's website and my official website & this blgspot.

Now I have my new partner and I am so excited about it!

As well as before, I will try my best and create a beautiful work!

BBQin Tokyo

先日、私の大大大好きなお洋服を作っている友人夫婦に
「BBQがあるからおいでよ」と誘われ、行ってきました〜：）

イギリスに続いて、開催場所（？！）は某宅のroofed terrace！
東京のビルに囲まれはしていましたが、それもなんだか良い雰囲気を醸し出していて、秋晴れの空の下、それぞれが着々と準備を進め、

カンパーイ！！！とスタート♪

BBQと愉快な仲間達。w

でも食べだす頃には日もすっかり落ちてとっぷり。

それにしても寒い寒い！
秋にするBBQの醍醐味は、「暑くない」「蚊がいない」と、私にとってはありがたい事この上ないのですが、日が暮れた瞬間から寒いっ！

でも台の周りに集まればヘッチャラ。火の力は凄いです。

私にとっては友人夫婦以外はみんな初対面の人ばかりだったのですが、
全然気兼ねなく、ギターを引いたり、旅行の話なんかをしながら楽しい夜を過ごさせてもらいました。
キャンプなノリと言う訳ではなかったのですが、寒かった事もあり、皆自然と椅子を持ち寄り、BBQの台の周りに集まってました。w

実はこのroofed terrace、かんなりでかい！w

The other day, I was invited to join a BBQ party at my friends' friend's place.

As I was always having BBQ at my friends' roofed terrace in London, it was quite funny to have another BBQ at a roofed terrace in Tokyo, too. There were lots of tall buildings around us but actually it wasn't bad at all. The weather was so nice and had some kind of nice atmosphere.

But as soon as sun went down, it was pretty chilly!
And that was the time when the party was actually started. We had to wrap up ourselves but it was still nice. Any way, as long as stay close to the fire, we were ok!

I guess, this is typical Japanese BBQ style but when we finish eating all the grilled veges and meat, we cook fried noodles :)
we chop all the left over vege & meat and cook with noodles!
Ahhhhh yummy♪

We stayed for a while just chatting and playing guitar there.

大人げない？！

最近撮った写真を見ていたら、、うー、、甥っ子可愛い過ぎます。。

この間、実家に帰った際に家族から誕生日を祝ってもらったのですが、甥っ子も一緒に祝ってくれました。

ろうそくに火を付けて、電気を消して、誕生日の唄を歌ってくれて、さあ、フーっとするところで、
甥っ子がフーって。。。

えええええ？！

思わず大人げなく、
「それ私がするからダメーっっ」
と言ってしまいました。。

その後仕切り直しても、必ず息を吹くところで甥っ子がフーって。w
さすがに３回目のチャレンジでは
妹や両親も「それはみーちゃんがするから駄目だよ」って。
。。。。
なんだか周りに言われると、ちょっと大人げないな。。と反省してしまいましたが、
願掛けもするんだし、誕生日のろうそくは自分で消したいよねえ？！


I was looking though my photos that I took lately and there are few photos which made me smile :)
They are all my nephew's photos!!!
Ahhhh he's so lovely!!!!!

The last time when I was in Kobe, my family celebrated for my late birthday and there was also my lover = my nephew!
They had my birthday cake so we put the lights on the candles and sang the birthday song for me... then when I was going to blow on the lights, quickly, my nephew blow them before me!!!!

"No! That's mine!!!"
Without thinking, I raised my voice...

After that, we tried again... for few times... Every time, my nephew managed to blow just before me...
After then my family told him that
"Darling, that's Mio's. You'll do it on your birthday"

... I felt pretty bad since he's only 2years old...

BUT! It's my birthday after all, don't you think?!!

these days

日本に帰国して来てなんだかあっという間に一ヶ月が経ってしまいました。

とりあえず東京に戻ったのですが、最近は幼なじみの結婚式の為、神戸に帰り、

その間友人の住む名古屋に寄ったり、ついでに伊勢に行って、


京都にも行って、

淡路島で海鮮食べたり。。


相変わらず点々と移動を繰り返しておりました。w
でも９月末にはまた東京に戻りましたよ。

日本は思った以上に残暑もなく、残念ながら食欲不振によるダイエットも効果が見られず、というよりはむしろ秋っぽくなって来たことにより食欲は増進。。
ま、良いんですが、女子的にはイタイ状況です。w
（でも食べログ復活？！！w）

仕事の方はぼちぼち面白そうな企画に参加させて頂いていたり、ちょっとした身辺の変化が見られそうです。そんな話はまた追々お知らせ出来れば。。と思っております。

そんな中、以前お知らせさせて頂いたぱらぱら漫画が出来上がってスイスから送られてきました！なかなか可愛く出来上がっていて、大満足です！！！



Time passes so quickly... , it's been a month already since I came back in Tokyo! However during the last one month, I was all over in West side of Japan...

On a way to Kobe for my childhood friend's wedding, I stopped by Nagoya, Ise, Kyoto, and Awaji-island. Visiting all the different places was great fun! Thanks for the Silver-week holiday :) (In Japan, we had national holidays for 5days together!)

Also it was so good that we didn't have strong heat weave this month. Good to go around the places but not so good for my diet plan. Normally, I loose appetite by strong heat so I was hoping Japan to be very hot after eating like a caw in London.
Well never mind, I should find other solution ;)

Work wise, I had few interesting offers which excite me a lot and hopefully to be able to introduce them here.
And meanwhile, I got received a parcel from Switzerland!!! there were bunch of flickbooks that I made! I'm very happy :)

So towards to the end of my stay in London, I had last minutes meetings with my friends.

Started from BBQ at the terrace at home...

After it's got dark we moved inside to have some tea...

As my friends are artist, they park the bike very arty way... ;)

It was so nice of them to suggest to do something very special.
They really made me feel that I don't want to go... and they made a remark that I should be back in town soon. So sweet :)

Well, in a way, I managed to satisfy my friends...
...I am supposed to be on an air plain to head off to Japan... but I am still in West London at my friends' studio.
Which mean, I missed my plain, bloody hell!
Sounds like a joke but it's not.
You don't wanna know how much shock when I realised that I missed my plain.

Let's not to talk much about it since it makes me feel so stupid.
I will be back in Japan tomorrow evening so that's Ok...

To be honest, staying here for another day make me feel that I should have re-book my flight for next month?!!

Any way it's better to go now.
Holiday is over! :(

back in London No.5

Last weekend I was in Edinburgh for the book festival that I was going to give a talk and also do a workshop.

The day when I arrived was raining quite a lot.

But it's Scotland and that's normal so I borrow a huge umbrella from the hotel and I went for a walk.


As it was during the Edinburgh festival season, there were so many visitors in Edinburgh!
It was very busy and cheerful :)

I managed to visit few galleries there and it was great!
You see lots of nice small galleries and you can see some cool work.
Actually Edinburgh is very Arty.
This is my second time to visit there but actually first time to look around very carefully.

Any way, next day -the day of my events were very nice.


Bit of shower but mostly sunny and warm :)


The people who organise the festival were so so so nice!! and super organised!!
It was very easy for me to get into it.

This is the Author's Yutt where all the authors are meeting with their chairman.
All the people here were so friendly and so nice.

Unfortunately, I couldn't take some photos of my events as I was talking... but it went very well.
There are lots of people came to listen to my talk... it was more that what I expected.
(thank you very very much for all the audience whom came to may talk!!!!!!!!!!!!)

For the workshop, it also was very good.

I had between 12-14 teenagers to work with... I had an experience to doing workshops with art students but never with others... so was a good to do for the first time!
They were very quick to understand and work on it!
After the workshop, I had few kids came up to say "was very good!".
Ahhhh, their words made my day! :)

So after the event, I went to around the old town! Was to nice!!
